All regular Detroit Economic Club meetings are open to credentialed journalists. Please use the online form below to apply for credentials for journalist(s) attending.
To ensure we provide enough working space, advance credential requests are greatly appreciated, even if your news organization has not yet made assignment decisions (use “TBD” when and if necessary). If you do not receive a response from us, please consider your credential request approved.
Space will be reserved at the back of the meeting room venue as a media work area with table(s) and chairs.
Generally, after each speech, the speaker will be available for questions during a 5-10 minute news media briefing, often held in a separate room within the venue.

Due to budget limitations, we are not able to offer complimentary meals to journalists.
We can connect journalists with the speaker’s representatives to be able to make that determination.
Generally speaking, yes. We ask that each speaker be available after each meeting for a brief question and answer session with journalists.

Those activities are for students and members only.
Our speaking program generally begins at 12:35 p.m. with a traditional invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by announcements and an introduction by our meeting’s Presiding Officer. The speaking program typically concludes by 1:30 p.m.
